SYNOPSIS:
Afro-Latinos "The story never told" is a documentary television series produced independently by Creator Pictures, LLC . The program will illustrate history and celebrate the rich culture of people of African descent. The documentary covers the story from how and when slaves were brought to Central and South America to the identity-related issues in the Hispanic community today.
There are an estimated 200 million Afro-descendants in Latin America but most of them have no economic or political power. This documentary takes us to see the Afro-Latinos across nations in Spanish and Portuguese. Also teach the uninformed and starts, hopefully, social change throughout Latin America. The documentary series will begin with the slave trade to the 1500s and remind palenqueras Maroons and their communities and will cover the controversial theory of the African presence in pre-Hispanic America. The series continues to analyze the closeness and religious differences between the Catholic Church and practices such as Yoruba and Voodoo.
