Would you have thought of this?

From Notting Hill to Labor Day, they protect and serve

From London to Brooklyn the Police are there to keep the peace and uphold the law as thousands of masqueraders and revellers gather to play their mas or just be part of the festivities.
Every now and then a female masquerade in the spirit of carnival and public defiance may drop a wine on a red faced cop and walk off with a smile.  (Go outside and try this today and you will get charged for a public order offence or something) These days however the Police seem to find it harder and harder to resist the magnetic pull of a wine for carnival. Cops of today have no choice but to break from the ranks of keeping the order and take the oath of protecting and serving to the next level.

Machel Montano at the CALO festival: 20:08:2011

Benjai  in action at CALO.

Now a lot is being said about the CALO festival  held over the past weekend and I don't know all the facts, but what I will say is that besides the short comings of which there is a growing list, I thought the entertainment  rocked. Between Friday night with Roy Cape featuring Blacks and Benjai, then Krosfyah  and Kes the band. To 3canal and  Machel  on Saturday I had a ball some of the best partying I've done in a while in London.
I will touch on the other stuff later.
For now here's some action from the King of Soca Mr H.D. Machel Montano.
